In the beginning of the story,Kim Boggs is old and she tells her granddaughter about the story of Edward Scissorhands. When the story occurs, she is the 16 year old daughter of Peg and Bill Boggs. Soonly, Kim first encounters Edward watching her from her bed. Formerly fearing him, she eventually warms up to him. When her boyfriend Jim forces Edward into breaking into his own house, Kim gets angry at Jim when the alarm goes off and Edward is left behind in Jim's house. She grows even closer to Edward, apologizing for Jim doing this to him. After Christmas dinner, Kim dances in the snowflakes created by Edward carving an ice sculpture of her.
